Abbe Stensland is a member at Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC where she practices primarily in bankruptcy law and commercial litigation with a focus on creditors’ rights.
During her law school career, Ms. Stensland was a Staff Writer and Note & Comment Editor for the Journal of Corporation Law, as well as a member and director of the Trial Advocacy Board. For her efforts, Ms. Stensland was recognized by both the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers for excellence in trial advocacy. Ms. Stensland is also actively involved in the American Mock Trial Association as the coach of the Cornell College mock trial team.
Banking Litigation. Ms. Stensland represents and advises creditors on a wide variety of issues, including loan documentation and work-outs, the creation and perfection of security interests in various types of collateral and other related issues arising from the Uniform Commercial Code, and the enforcement of security interests both in negotiations and adversarial proceedings.
Bankruptcy Law. Ms. Stensland represents and advises trustees, creditors, and banking institutions on their rights in bankruptcy proceedings.
Business & Commercial Litigation. Ms. Stensland represents and advises corporations and other business entities on a variety of commercial litigation issues, including lease and contract formation, enforcement and restrictive convenants.
