Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman client CRST Awarded $4.7M against EEOC
Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman client, CRST Van Expedited, Inc., was awarded $4.7M in fees against the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). This result is one of the largest fees awarded against the EEOC and represents unprecedented relief for CRST. In 2007, the EEOC brought a class- type lawsuit attacking CRST 's "pattern or practice" of alleged sexual harassment. The original lawsuit had 270 women seeking damages, but was eventually cut down to a single claim, settled after appeal for a minimal sum . “This is either the final or the next to final episode in a very long saga,” quoted Kevin Visser in The Gazette. In addition to Kevin, the Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman team included: Thomas Wolle, Iris Muchmore, Kelly Geerlings, Brian Fagan, Dawn Gibson, and others.
