Kevin Visser tries cases to judges and juries in the state and federal courts and handles the appeals from those verdicts and judgments. The public record of the more than two dozen appeals (mostly federal) taken from trial court decisions, reflects the varied nature of those Mr. Visser represents (closely and publicly held corporations and their shareholders, individual citizens [and non-citizens], and corporate officers) and the subject matters of their mostly high-stakes litigation (business torts, business competition issues, employment, contracts, and labor law). He has tried cases of termination in at least 20 of Iowa’s 99 counties and before federal judges appointed by Presidents Kennedy, Reagan, Bush (both), and Clinton. Mr. Visser works with at least one of the firm’s substantive or procedural specialists and with a certified paralegal.
Mr. Visser is the firm’s primary contact with the USLAW NETWORK and serves on the firm’s Board. His professional affiliations include the American and Iowa State Bar Associations, the AGC Labor Lawyers’ Council, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Visser is a Fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers and member of the Dean Mason Ladd American Inn of Court. He regularly speaks to public and private groups, primarily on topics related to trial practice or employment law. Peer recognition is reflected in Mr. Visser’s Martindale Hubbell “av” rating (very high to preeminent); citation in Chambers USA’s Leading Lawyers for Business, the “Super Lawyers” status (in business litigation) conferred by the publication of the same name; and inclusion in Best Lawyers in America (commercial litigation).
Mr. Visser is admitted to practice before the Iowa and United States Supreme Courts, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts in Iowa. (He appears elsewhere by pro hac vice admission.) Mr. Visser took his undergraduate degree in economics, where his work was recognized prior to completing the University of Iowa’s Accelerated Program in 1980.

In 2007, the EEOC brought a class- type lawsuit attacking CRST 's "pattern or practice" of alleged sexual harassment. The original lawsuit had 270 women seeking damages, but was eventually cut down to a single claim, settled after appeal for a minimal sum .
